Capital Markets Group, a Ryerson University student organization, established in 2008 dedicated to educating and engaging students interested in investing and finance. The focus was to bring a student group to Ryerson that would fill the void and help students attain a career in the competitive market of finance. Throughout the year we have a number of exciting events designed to develop and enhance your knowledge of investing and the economy. The objectives of Capital Markets Group are as follows:

- Expand understanding of economics and the economy
Capital Markets Group is an exclusive finance group at Ryerson University with a mandate to create a future generation of finance professionals that represent the Ted Rogers School of Management. The organization strives to bridge the gap between theories learned in the classroom and common practices in the industry. Members have access to industry level technical analysis, fundamental analysis, and financial modeling workshops. CMG creates opportunities for members to enhance their teamwork, leadership, and communication skills in order to proceed from the group with confidence to succeed in their future endeavours.
